FIFA The Best Awards 2021: Venue

Last year’s ceremony taking place over video call because of the on going Corona virus pandemic

The ceremony for the FIFA The Best Awards is set to take place at the FIFA headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland. The complex has officially served as the headquarters since it’s completion in 2006. However last year the ceremony took place behind close doors over video call because of the ongoing Corona virus pandemic.

FIFA The Best Awards 2021: Odds

The three front runners to win the prestigious award are Robert Lewandowski, Lionel Messi and Jorginho. Lewandowski had an exceptional 20/21 season with Bayern Munich as he went on to win the European Golden boot. Lionel Messi’s wait for an international trophy with Argentina came to an end as his side beat Brazil to win the Copa America earlier in July. That along with the Copa del rey title makes a really strong case for the six time Ballon D’or winner.

Out of the three many will say that Jorginho had the best 20/21 season. He was pivotal for Chelsea and Italy as they went on to win the UEFA Champions League and the Euros in the summer respectively. Jorginho also won the UEFA best player award.

FIFA The Best Awards 2021: Prediction

The now PSG player Lionel Messi edges Lewandowski and Jorginho as his Argentina side finally won the Copa America which also saw Messi win the top scorer, playmaker and the best player of the tournament award which he shared with his PSG teammate Neymar. We predict Lionel Messi to win his second FIFA Best award after he won the first in 2019.
