The Golden Boot is an award presented by FIFA to the top goal scorer in a single world cup campaign. The award was first given in the 1982 Spain edition. Italian striker Paolo Rossi won the award scoring six goals from 7 games, and Italy went on to win the competition beating Germany 3-1 in the finals.
Harry Kane, is the latest one to win the golden boot, he won in 2018 by scoring 6 goals as England finished fourth in the competition. Along with Harry Kane, Argentina superstar Lionel Messi, Portugal talisman Cristiano Ronaldo, Brazilian Neymar Jr and French attacker Kylian Mbappe are the five favorites to win the golden boot in Qatar this year.
