Here’s how Napoli can end their 33-year Serie A title drought next weekend

The Naples-based club are soon to be crowned the champions of Italy after their three decade long wait.

Here’s how Napoli can end their 33-year Serie A title drought next weekend

Napoli are in sight of their first Scudetto in 33 years. The Italian club has not won a league title since the time of Diego Maradona. However, Luciano Spalletti has defied all odds and has led his team to the top of Serie A with seven games left to play. The Gli Azzurri are 17 points clear at the top and could win the title by next week, with six games to spare.

To secure the Scudetto this upcoming week, Napoli need to win against Salernitana and hope Lazio drop points at the San Siro. Lazio are Napoli’s closest challenger but are still miles off the leaders. Even if the Gli Azzuri fail to win the upcoming week, they are still very much in the pole position, and would only require five points from their remaining six games.

The Naples side are not the only Italian club defying expectations. The season has broken records for the Serie A, with five teams progressing through to the semi-finals stage of a European competition. Napoli were close to being one of them, but were knocked out of the UCL Quarter-Finals by fellow Italian club, AC Milan.

However, with the team’s chances now looking better than before, and the overall football league season starting to go into its final leg for this season, sports betting operators will have to look out for managing the risk behind the huge numbers of bets they receive. At this point, it is often suggested to make successful sports betting risk management decisions, but it feels like still being something most people are still unaware of.

Napoli finally etched up another three points on the board after having dropped points in two of their last three league fixtures. Giacomo Raspadori scored in the third minute of stoppage time to earn the visitors a well-deserved victory at the Allianz Stadium.

The Naples side had dominated the game throughout but were lacking the final bit of creativity. Napoli failed to threaten in the final thrid of the pitch, while Juventus seemed content on holding onto a point. However, the Turin club’s organization finally crumbled in the 93rd minute. A cross from Eljif Elmas left the Juventus defence dumbstruck as the Italian fired home a volley from close range.

The Gli Azzurri are all but set to win their long-awaited Scudetto, however, things look bleak for the Old Lady. Despite having their 15-point deduction overturned, Juventus might yet fail to finish in a top 4 spot. With Roma, Milan and Inter all hot on the heels of the Turin club, there will be no margin for error from the record champions.
