Liverpool vs Manchester City highlights

Mo Salah scored an amazing goal against Manchester City last weekend in a 2-2 draw after dancing past four defenders and putting the ball past Ederson with his weaker foot. His goal against Manchester City was compared to the goal Lionel Messi scored against Bayern Munich in the 2015 UEFA Champions League semi finals.

Salah have now been compared to Messi and Ronaldo quiet a few times in the past with his performances. But the Merseyside club are yet to open contract talks with the Egyptian winger with the current contract ending in 2023 and the club’s relationship with his agent Ramy Abbas, have gone frosty in the recent times and there are rumours that the former AS Roma player could seek a new challenge by leaving on a free transfer.

Former striker Kevin Campbell believes that Liverpool should break the bank in order to keep a player like Mohamed Salah with the amount of goals he has scored for them in the last four years. Salah recently became the fastest player in Liverpool’s history to score 100 goals beating Roger Hunt’s record. Mo Salah have been monumental in Liverpool’s recent Champions League win in 2018-19 and also winning the Premier League title in 2019-20.

“It may sound crazy but it’s a definite risk for Liverpool” Campbell told Football Insider. “When you have a player who is doing what Mohamed Salah is doing, normally there are no questions about tying him up.” He further added “I don’t know what‘s going on inside Liverpool, but I know Salah is out-playing his present contract. 100 per cent he is.”

Campbell also mentioned that it would be “crazy” if Liverpool were to let Mo salah leave and with the likes of Man City and PSG offering double the money and are always looking to acquiring the Egyptian’s services.
