Lionel Messi wants a return to Barcelona after only 3 months at PSG

If you’re a FC Barcelona and Lionel Messi fan this would be the best possible news you’ll get all day, as the Argentine star wants to return to the Catalan club one day in the future. Messi left Barcelona for Paris this summer after 21 long years in a move which shook the world of football, but it seems that he has seen enough at his new club, and has left the door open for a homecoming in the future.

The Argentine superstar has not had the best of starts at PSG, and has scored just 3 goals in his first 8 matches, and is yet to score in the league this year. He signed a two year contract with the Ligue 1 giants, which will run out in 2023 and it looks like has already made plans of what he wants to do when he ultimately decides to hang up his boots.

Asked in an interview with Sport if he would return to Barca one day, Messi said: “Yes. I always said that I would love to be able to help the club.

“I would love to be a technical secretary at some point. I don’t know if it will be at Barcelona or not. Or if it will be elsewhere.

FC Barcelona’s record goal scorer and appearance maker still wants to contribute to the success of his former club, even though it’s of the pitch and in a more discreet manner.

“If there is a possibility, I would like to contribute again in what I can because it is the club that I love and I would love for it to continue to be good, to continue growing and to continue being one of the best in the world.”
