Club bosses have also extended tenures of Trent Alexander Arnold, Virgil Van Dijk and Alisson.

Even midfielder Fabinho’s contract has been extended. Salah last extended his contract 3 years back but this time the club wants to sign the 29-year-old for a longer period. The former AS Roma player’s salary has increased since his arrival at the club along with the bonuses but apart from that, the Egyptian helped the side register some memorable wins that also helped him earn personal accolades. Liverpool is one of the powerhouses of European football financially but like other clubs has been hit hard due to the Corona Virus Pandemic so it might rethink on up-gradation of Salah’s wages.

How a transfer move could affect Liverpool as well as Mohamed Salah in the long run?

The striker earns 200000 pounds per week but the club isn’t keen to neglect their salary composition that has affected the team’s form. Liverpool’s net worth was affected in the 2019-20 season but the club’s higher authorities believe that keeping in mind the striker’s reputation the 29-year-old is worthy for a decorated pay.

Even the likes of Sadio Mane, Jordan Henderson and Andrew Robertson have been brought on board for a contract extension. Clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona were trying to get Salah on board and even the striker was aiming for a move due to some disagreements with the Anfield side but making a move won’t be easy for Salah and it would affect Liverpool’s future prospects also.

The club will have to bring in someone as reputed as Salah if the Egyptian wants to have a move which isn’t possible right now due to the dicey financial situation and even Salah won’t be able to settle too quickly in a new system if he makes a switch which might affect his rhythm and form. Making a move could be on the cards but it won’t bring positive results for the forward as well as for the club. Liverpool higher-ups and manager Jurgen Klopp would be trying their best to extend the striker’s tenure and staying at the club would be a wise move for the striker keeping his future career prospects in mind.
