Manchester City, Premier League Champions of the 2020-21 season, unveiled their home kit for the upcoming 2021-22 season, in association with Puma, as the jersey highlights one of the most iconic moments for the club.

The new home kit is inspired by the iconic goal in the 93:20 minute from Manchester City‘s first league winning 2011/12 season that provided for one of the iconic moments in the Premier League and the club’s history.

Manchester City’s 2021-22 kit promotion

The 2021-22 kit reminisces the memory of the legendary 2012-13 league winning season and highlights the iconic 93:20 timeline, the same time at which Sergio Aguero scored the iconic goal in the final league game that season to give City their first Premier League title. The same is highlighted by the repeated graphic of a digital clock which pays tribute to that remarkable generation of players and the last-minute strike that sealed the league in a celebrated fashion.

Since that moment, Manchester City have won the Premier League title five more times in the last ten seasons.

Manchester City’s new kit

This home jersey is well complemented by a sky blue shorts and hooped socks to give a dashing yet signature look.

The timestamp of that Momentous 93:20 goal, is printed on the inside collar of the new design v-neck shirts, with the number ’10’, a remembrance to Aguero who scored the goal, highlighted within the same number. The shirt and the number font is textured with the traditional scoreboard pattern, with a white stripe down either side.

The jersey is made combining 100% recycled polyester with advanced PUMA dryCELL thermoregulation technology to ensure the best of fit and mobility, which keeps the players dry and comfortable.

“Witnessing that moment is something I will never forget. When the goal went in, we knew we had just seen greatness, something special,” said Micah Richards on the new kit unveiling for City.

“The league was hanging in the balance and then to secure it in the final minute, in that fashion, I don’t think will ever be replicated.

“The new kit is a perfect tribute to one of the greatest moments in City’s history.” said the former Manchester City player.
