In the first half, Chelsea started on the front foot with all gas firing. However, they struggled to maintain their consistency as Manchester City gained possession. Manchester City came agonizingly close in the first half to score but Kepa saved the shot.
In the second half, Manchester City started with an intent to score the goal. However, Chelsea kept them at bay and even came close to open the goal. However, Kevin de Bruyne came up with a magical moment in the 70th minute to seal the deal. Despite Chelsea trying hard in the final moments of the game, Manchester City were able to close out the game.

Manchester City
Ederson (6/10): The Brazilian shot stopper had very less to do as Chelsea strikers were found out of possession. However, when he was called into action, he parried the ball away.
Joao Cancelo (6.4/10): Joao Cancelo started on the left for Cityzens and executed his job to perfection. Since he was more offensive, the player was able to put two accurate long balls.
Aymeric Laporte (6.6/10): Laporte was a key defender in the heart of Manchester City’s defense. He won two aerial headers and kept the storm out.
John Stones (7.1/10): Keeping the opposition strikers at bay is not everyone’s cup of tea but Stones executed to perfection. He kept Lukaku silent throughout the game.
Kyle Walker (6.4/10): Kyle Walker ensured the calmness in the defense as he did not venture forward multiple times. Though he was outran, the player recovered possession for his side.
Bernardo Silva (6.4/10): It was not a picture perfect game for the Portuguese. Bernardo Silva was unable to put the throughballs perfectly.
Rodri (6.5/10): Playing as a shield in front of the defense, Rodri was careful with possession and recycled the ball to near perfection for his team.
Kevin de Bruyne (8/10): The Belgian playmaker came to life in the second half compared to the first half. In the first half, he struggled to create the passes and score. However, he drew some fantastic saves from the opposition shot stopper. When it seemed to end in a draw, the player pulled off a screamer to make it 1-0.
Jack Grealish (6.7/10): Playing his first ever game of the year, Jack Grealish had the chance to redeem himself. However, he failed to get back on the net. But, he kept the opposition busy.
Phil Foden (6.2/10): The English international played in a false nine role but was unable to either score or assist his side in the game against Chelsea.
Raheem Sterling (6.3/10): Barring being able to draw few fouls, Raheem Sterling was not effective against Chelsea’s defense. Though he was fouled in the box, the penalty was not awarded as Walker was offside.

Kepa Arrizabalaga (7/10): Kepa pulled off great saves throughout the game but was unable to save the master strike from Kevin de Bruyne.
Malang Sarr (7/10): Donning the Chelsea Blues in Premier League after a long time, Sarr kept the strikers at bay. He had three tackles to his name.
Antonio Rudiger (6.2/10): With one header and one dribble to his name, Antonio Rudiger did not have the best game for Chelsea. However, he helped his side to keep the scoreline low.
Thiago Silva (6/10): Marshaling the defense, Silva did most things right but was unable to stop the shot from Kevin de Bruyne. He failed to close out the player leading to the goal.
Cesar Azpilicueta (6.9/10): The veteran Chelsea player was key for his side defensively who was selected for his wing-back positioning. He had four successful tackles to his name.
N Golo Kante (6.5/10): The French midfielder was again on top of his game against Manchester city with five tackles to his name.
Marcos Alonso (6.4/10): The Spanish international was solid defensively but received a yellow card in the early moments of the game that kept him tenterhooked.
Matteo Kovacic (6.4/10): Mateo Kovacic was one of the best players for Chelsea in the midfield. Though he received a yellow card, he had three successful tackles to his name.
Hakim Ziyech (6.2/10): The former Ajax player started the game in December but was not able to stamp down his authority against Manchester City.
Christian Pulisic (6.2/10): It was a cold and hot game for Christian Pulisic who did create chances but without an end product.
Romelu Lukaku (5.8/10): One more unnerving game for Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian striker possibly had the best chance to score the goal but could not find the back of the net.
