“It’s my home now”-Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes signs new contract until 2026 with an option for an additional year

Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes has signed a new contract with the Red Devils that will keep him at the club until 2026 with an option for an additional year. The Portuguese star has made a brilliant impact for the club since his arrival in January 2020. Fernandes has been one of the standout players in the Premier League since joining the club in the January transfer window.

Bruno Fernandes has played 117 games for Manchester United and has scored 49 goals as well as provided 39 assists. The 27 year old won the Sir Matt Busby Award for being the best player at the club in 2019/20. The Portuguese international has won 4 Premier League Player of the Month Awards as well during his time at the club.

Manchester United fans will be super happy that Fernandes has signed a contract extension at the club. The club will now look to appoint their new manager that will look to bring the best out of Fernandes as well as the other players at the club.

Manchester United fans will be happy after their star player Bruno Fernandes signed a new contract until 2026. The Portuguese international has been one of the best players in the Premier League ever since his arrival and will now be one of the highest earners in the Premier League.

Bruno Fernandes said,” Obviously, I’m really happy, it’s been pretty good, the time that I’ve spent with the club and, as I said on the first day, it was a dream come true and it still is a dream. This will be a dream for me until my last day in the club. So I’m happy that my last day is longer, I have more time to be in the club, to enjoy it and to keep dreaming.”

The Portuguese international added,” For me, it’s my home now. I feel like this is my home, it has to be. Here, I’m living the dream and I’ve been thinking of these moments that I’m living with the club for so long, so I’m here now, I have to feel like this is my first home for now.”

Fernandes also said,” Obviously, I think, as I will repeat myself but, this was a dream since I was a kid, I was dreaming to play in the Premier League and luckily for me, I could get both things that I dream about; playing in the Premier League for the club I dream about. So, it’s still a dream, I want to keep dreaming, keep doing this that way and obviously it’s been true that there’s many good things at the club.”

“The most important thing now is to end the season in the best way we can. You have to understand that is not enough everything that we have done this season, we know the standards of this club, the standards of these players have to be something more, we are all aware of that,” said the 27 year old.

Fernandes lastly said,” We know that being in the Champions League is important for us. Everybody wants to play at that stage so we know we have to give our best to be in the Champions League places, but the most important thing for us is to be starting to think already of Leicester, it will be a tough game and most important thing for us has to be thinking of our own games and don’t think about the clubs that could be in our position.”
