Manchester United faces trouble as players and staff tests Covid positive
“The club is in discussion with the Premier League whether it is safe for Tuesday’s fixture against Brentford to continue, both from a Covid infection and player preparation perspective,” Manchester United in their official statement on Monday.
Now we will have to see if the Premier League officials come with a solution by postponing the match or Manchester United will have to travel to play their match even amid Covid complications.
Brentford have also some of their players out due to Covid 19 but they still have kept their preparation on for the match as reported by their head coach Thomas Frank.
“We are planning to play the game. That’s what we are focusing on. We can’t control anything else,” Thomas Frank said in an interview.
“It’s a very tricky situation,” Frank said. “I think it’s very important the Premier League and all of us are following normal society rules and restrictions. That’s very important.”
