The Premier League clash between Arsenal and Tottenham was postponed after Arsenal filed a request because of their inadequacy to play the match as the majority of their players are out with either Covid, injury or playing for their countries in the AFCON.

Mikel Arteta has explained in one of his interviews that Arsenal have tried to play most of their fixture even when their team was at the worst of condition but against Tottenham, it was absolutely impossible to put forward a team.

“We have been very consistent, we played against Forrest when we had 10 players out and we tried to play the next game and the next game. We went to Liverpool and we had many players out,” the Spanish manager in his recent interview.

“We have come to a point where we could not put a squad available as the numbers required in the league to play a gmae and that’s why we didn’t play as simple as that.”

Antonio Conte furious as Premier League postpone matches due to injuries

Tottenham Hotspur has not been happy with the decision of the Premier League as they decided to postpone the matches due to less Covid reason and more of injury reasons.

Tottenham is of the view that they have played matches in much more worst condition which even led to their team getting knocked out from the Europa Conference League.

Antonio Conte is one of his recent interviews said, “I think that if Premier League decides to postpone games for injuries it means that they have to try to make best schedule and to reduce maybe to play games.”

“This is the first time in my life that there is a league that postpone the game for injuries, this is very strange and very surprising.”

Tottenham will be taking on Leicester City tonight to play their 19th match in the Premier League as they battle for their place in the top 4. They are four points behind West Ham and have four matches in hand to cover the gap.
