Liverpool has been going through a poor phase since Sadio Mane left for Bayern Munich. This season their star man Mohamed Salah has struggled to reach his prior peak levels, and the fans are missing the deadly Mane, Firmino, and Salah trio in the opposition half. Replacing the Club Legends right now is an impossible mission, even for Juergen Klopp. Youngster Darwin Nunez is still getting used to the game after falling short of expectations in this, while Luis Diaz, being sidelined with a knee ailment since October, is hurting the Club. The latest signing, Cody Gakpo, is yet to live up to his name with the Reds.

Many have seemed un-dropable by Liverpool Boss Klopp since he took over the Merseyside Club and made them Championship contenders. Though a minority, Anfeild has turned against the German and is asking for his sacking, and the back-to-back poor outings are increasing the sound of Anti-Klopp chants. Ahead of the FA Cup Clash against Brighton, which they lost 2-1, the 2019 UCL winner revealed that he would have already been sacked by the Club if not for his success during his ensure.

“Last year was super-intense, much longer than we could have expected because who expects to get into four finals?” It was obvious that this season would be challenging, but we might have easily had four or five more points with fewer injuries. Even though we still don’t have a great season, we would still be competing for the Champions League during an average season.” Imagine if we won all four trophies the previous season, and I said, “See you all later, holiday!” Klopp said.

The Premier League’s traditional “big six” have been disrupted this season, with Newcastle, Fulham, Brighton, and Brentford leading the push. As a result, Liverpool has fallen out of the European qualification slots. However, that is a worrying aspect for Reds supporters in what is already a forgettable Merseyside campaign.

With the Premier League titans battling for form and fluidity this season, Liverpool’s once-imperial ship now represents just a ghost of its past presence. To ensure future success, signings are now required. When the competition began, preseason planning went out the window as the Reds swiftly fell behind the division’s pacesetters. As a result, manager Jurgen Klopp now has a lot of work on his hands.

Joao Palhinha, a diligent Fulham center midfielder, was identified as a transfer option for the Merseyside club this winter, according to Dean Jones’ earlier January article for GIVEMESPORT. Although he only signed with the Cottagers for £20 million in the summer, a sizable offer from Liverpool could tempt Palhinha away from his west London club. The Club wants to replace Naby Keita, who has yet to impact the side since moving there from RB Leipzig in 2017.

Palhinha has 3 goals in 18 Premier League games this season, and his passing and defensive abilities have made him a key addition to the London-based team. Fulham now sits seventh in the Premier League table, ahead of clubs like Chelsea, Brighton and Hove Albion, and Leicester City. It remains to be seen whether Liverpool can compete financially with rivals Tottenham, particularly given that the club’s present owners are trying to sell the club.
