“A smart boy who will not lose his head over success”- Camavinga rejects any ego claims after Real Madrid’s phenomenal 2021-22 season

“A smart boy who will not lose his head over success”- Camavinga rejects any ego claims after Real Madrid’s phenomenal 2021-22 season

Eduardo Camavinga has proved his worth time and time again.

Eduardo Camavinga was a very pivotal member of the Real Madrid team and performed time and time again when Carlo Ancelotti needed him to step up. His rise came into prominence under Carlo Ancelotti as he kept on providing the clubs with his beautiful football coming off the bench and made it hard for the manager to drop him in crucial games.

Carlo now sees him as a star member of the club and has been regularly part of the starting lineup in this season and also feels that the midfielder can go on to achieve great things for the club in the future. The midfield star duo of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos are now close to their finishing years and at the end of their careers, so Camavinga is the ideal candidate for Real Madrid to take their place for the next decade.

Camavinga in action during a LaLiga game last season.

In an interview with AS earlier this week, Camavinga spoke about his success, his footballing idols, and also the dressing room moments at Real Madrid. He said, ‘I’ve learned a lot from Modric and Kroos. Not only what they do on the pitch but also what they do off the pitch- playing sports after training, resting. These are things that I apply to myself because they’re good for me.’

He added, “Playing for Real Madrid has been my dream since I was little. It’s the best club in the world and when they came to sign me I did not doubt that I wanted to come. In his dressing room, relations-I’m an extrovert, I talk to anyone. My adaptation has been easy and fast. My best friends are French, but I speak to everyone. A little more with Tchouameni, Rüdiger, Benzema or Alaba”
