The Premier League game between Everton and Manchester United at Goodison Park saw the breakthrough goal within 3 minutes from kick-off, and it was something special from Alejandro Garnacho.

United’s Argentinian star produced potentially the ‘Goal of the Season’ with an outrageous overhead kick to breach the home side’s defense within minutes. Fans were quick to talk about the goal on Twitter as no one believed what they witnessed. But being a Cristiano Ronaldo fanboy, Garnacho just looked at the floating ball and decided to hit a bicycle kick past the stranded Jordan Pickford.

The goal put the Red Devils ahead against the shocked Toffees who were having a hard time gulping that goal down. It was Dalot who floated the ball inside the box from the right flank, and Garnacho positioned himself well before slotting it into the back of the net.

Meanwhile, the goal was something special all by itself, but then he hit the ‘SIU’ celebration to put the cherry on top. It was a huge, early shocker to the home fans who needed at least some result after their team’s 10-point deduction.

Fans believe that Garnacho’s bicycle goal was a result of the ‘Cristiano Ronaldo effect’. It is no hidden secret that the Argentinean is a big CR7 stan. So, scoring a bicycle meant that the Ronaldo fans would bring the iconic Champions League goal by the Portuguese superstar.

A fan wrote, “When Cristiano Ronaldo is your GOAT you score such beauties ?‍??‍?”. Furthermore, many fans also took this as an opportunity to hit at the Ronaldo-Lionel Messi debate, saying that Garnacho chose the ‘right person to idolize’. Here are some of the fans’ reactions:

Going into the break after 45 minutes, Garnacho’s goal was the difference between the two sides. Hoping for a comeback, now, it looks even harder than before as Everton concedes another goal. Martial went down inside the penalty box, a VAR check revealed that it was a penalty and Marcus Rashford’s composed head put United two ahead. This is not great news for the home side who hoped for some sort of a result after the FFP breach drama.
