While Antoine Groezmann’s priority is to stay at Atletico, he may be forced to reconsider should the move fail. Barcelona cannot afford the 31-year-old’s salary and will offload him even if it is at a discounted price.

Atletico Madrid’s president confirmed earlier that Griezmann will stay at the capital next season but the two clubs haven’t opened talks yet to finalise the terms of the deal.

While the last few years haven’t been great for Griezmann, he is an outstanding forward. in 421 La Liga appearances, Griezmann has 159 goals and 67 assists. Most of which have come for the Los Rojiblancos. The Frenchman would be a great addition to whichever club he played for next.
