The PSG star and Argentina national team’s captain Lionel Messi has been caught up in an injury scare that he’s been informed of, right before the FIFA World Cup, as the player has already announced that the big event shall be the last and final of his career, which he will attempt to win in full force.

The already glittering career of the former Barcelona star only has the longing for the golden cup for his country. But, according to multiple reports, the 34-year-old is set to miss Sunday’s away meeting with Lorient due to an inflamed Achilles tendon.

Though it has been reported that the star only has a minor injury and shall report back to the training ground as soon as he wraps up the necessary trials next week. The star could potentially feature in the club’s final game before the World Cup break.

The former Barcelona star is set to enter Qatar for his World Cup and would play for the win, the player has been hitting fine form lately, after having scored 12 goals and providing 14 assists in 18 appearances for PSG this season.
