Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta talks about the managerial position at Barcelona

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has ruled out all the rumors suggesting he would take up the Barcelona job next season. There has been news winding up for the last few days that Xavi will have to make way for a better coach at Barcelona and Arteta would be a great fit considering his links with Barcelona from where he started his career.
Xavi has been under great pressure from fans worldwide and also the club after Barcelona’s Champions League exit and now has all his eyes set on winning the league back after three long years. They are currently placed second in the league with just one point behind leaders, Real Madrid but a few bad matches can turn the tide away from him and he might find himself sacked by the club.
But on the other side, Mikel has managed Arsenal really well after being offered the job at such a young age with so less experience but now looks to become the youngest manager to win the Premier League aged at 40 which would take him above Jose Mourinho who won it with Chelsea way back in 2004/05.
What did Mikel Arteta have to say about the rumors linking him to Barcelona?
Ahead of the Europa League match against FC Zurich, Arteta canceled out all the news linking him back to his boyhood club saying, “What I can say is I’m extremely happy and proud to be where I am. I think Barcelona is on a really good path and (have) a phenomenal coach that has been an absolute legend in that club and has lifted the whole place and you have to be respectful of that.”
Arsenal had a great season last year as well but missed out on the Champions League places on the last matchday, but this season they have shocked all the fans and also have also proven the pre-season predictions wrong. Arsenal is currently placed at the top of the Premier League table with a two-point gap over second-placed Manchester City.
