Diego Simeone is set to part ways with Atletico Madrid at the end 2022-23 season, as per The Sun. Spanish Journalist Paco Garcia Caridad recently told El Chiringuito that Simeone will leave the club after 11 years. The reports suggest that the coach himself told club president Gil Marin his desire to leave in January, as per The Sun’s report.

Recently, Atletico faced a disappointing defeat against rivals FC Barcelona in their latest La Liga encounter. Adding more wounds to their bad season, Xavi and co defeated the Atletico Madrid side 1-0.

In the latest update, Joao Felix also left the club on loan to join Premier League side, Chelsea. As per the Spanish media, Felix and Simeone have had a strange relationship in recent times.

Felix has reached a verbal agreement to join Chelsea, who is expected to pay him €11million, which is way lower than what the Spanish club wanted, as per multiple sources.
