Robert Lewandowski was caught on camera ignoring Lamine Yamal as the 16-year-old offered his hand to the Polish striker for a high-five. Before the incident, Lewandowski was pictured shouting at the winger due to certain incidents, allegedly not playing him the ball, in the game. 

During the match between Barcelona and Deportivo Alaves, the score was tied 1-1, and it seemed like it would end in a draw. Barcelona, expecting more, faced frustration. Robert Lewandowski, notably upset with Spain’s young talent Lamine Yamal, shouted at him from inside the Alaves defensive box. Despite Yamal’s attempt to reconcile later, offering his hand, Lewandowski didn’t respond. However, the tense night turned in Lewandowski’s favor as he scored two goals, including the winning one, concluding the game on a positive note.

In the post-game press conference, Robert Lewandowski spoke on the issue. He said:

A problem with Lamine Yamal? It was just an accident. I have helped him several times, giving him advice, even in this match.

Further, the Polish veteran reiterated that it is normal for teammates to shout or say something to each other on the pitch. Lewandowski would then shut down any conversations about a possible scuffle between the two by claiming: 

The entire situation is a complete accident and has no meaning.

Three points for Barcelona at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys means the Blaugrana are currently third in La Liga and within touching distance of their bitter rivals, Real Madrid.
