Inter Milan‘s Federico Dimarco has just scored one of the most outrageous goals of the season with many claiming the goal is worth winning the Puskas Award. Close to the halfway line, the Italian hit the ball towards the goal after seeing the goalkeeper off his line. The sound of the ball hitting the back of the net was met with a thunderous roar from the San Siro crowd.

Leaving his goalkeeper, Yans Sommer with his hands on his head, the 26-year-old opened the scoring on the night in the 43rd minute as Inter Milan took on Frosinone in the Serie A. While Inter’s Hakan Çalhanoğlu also found himself on the scoresheet after scoring a penalty in the 48th minute, it was Federico Dimarco who stole all the spotlight on the night with his outlandish goal.

The Milan-based club ran out 2-0 winners on the night pushing them top of the table of the Italian league. Currently two points off second place, Juventus, and Inter Milan have maintained their incredible form in the league this season as the club have only lost a single game this season with ten wins in 12 league fixtures. With Inter Milan’s last Serie A trophy coming in the 2020/21 season, Simone Inzaghi will look to bring the trophy back to I Nerazzurri.

A blockbuster match awaits football fans as Inter Milan will take on Juventus on the 27th of November when club football returns after the international break.

Can Federico Dimarco and Inter Milan reach the UEFA Champions League final once again?

Before the 2022/23 season, not many were expecting an Inter Milan and Manchester City final in the UEFA Champions League. While City were favorites, especially with the addition of Erling Haaland, Inter Milan caught many by surprise.

While Inter faced defeat on the night, they surprised many fans during the fixture with some debating that Milan could have won the finals if they had been more clinical on the ball. Though it seems difficult to replicate what was achieved last season, 8 of the 11 players in the finals played in their latest fixture against Frosinone last weekend. With the spine of the team remaining and arguably having a stronger starting XI than last season, Inter Milan could be the dark horse of this season’s Champions League.

With their place in the Round of 16 in the Champions League already sealed and done, Inter Milan still have the opportunity to top their group as they are level on points with group leaders, Real Sociedad.
