Barcelona’s 2021 Golden Boy winner, Pedri has been spending a lot of time in the gym as the 19 year old has transformed his physique immensely for the new season. The youngster was signed by the club in 2019 and has quickly become an integral part of their first team.
Pedri has injured himself during the tail end of the last season but wasted no time in working on himself has he got the extra break. As reported by Luis F Rojo, the youngster worked hard on the physical appearance as he gears up for the new season.

Pedri to don Iniesta’s legendary no. 8 at Barcelona next season
It looks like Barcelona have found their next Ineista in the form of Pedri who is set to wear the iconic no. 8 at the Camp Nou from the new season onwards. Dani Alves had taken up the no. 8 when he joined Barcelona on a 6 month deal last January.
However, the Brazilian was proud to see Pedri take the no. from him. He said, “I read in an interview that he said he liked the number 8 and I spoke to the people at the club, that next season if he wants it he can take it, if I stay, of course. If I leave, he can take it straight away.”
“If he wants it, it’s his, but there is only one mission, we have to defend it well, because this shirt has been worn by great people, very special people, especially for me, like Iniesta or Hristo… they are people who have done a lot for this club,” Alves added.
Since signing for Barcelona, Pedri has been exceptional in revitalising the Blaugrana midfield. At only 19, he has already made 74 appearances over the last 2 seasons managing 9 goals and 7 assists. The youngster has also gone on to represent his national side recently.
