Barry Benell, ex-English football coach incarcerated for p*dophilia, dies in prison

As per a report sourced from The Ministry of Justice, infamous Football coach and player, Barry Bennell has passed away in prison. The 69-year-old passed away after a prolonged illness.
The Englishman made headlines back in the year 1994 when accusations of p*dophilia first surfaced against the former coach and footballer. Labeled by the court as a “child mol*ster on an industrial scale” news of his conviction shook the football world as a whole.
The Ministry of Justice announced a statement via a spokesman, which read, “Prisoner Barry Bennell died at HMP Littlehey on September 16.” They also announced that investigations will be conducted. Just like it happens with every other death that occurs during custody. Bennell was serving his 5th and final prison sentence when he died of cancer at HMP Littlehey- a prison for s*x offenders.
He became one of the most notorious s*x offenders in the country. One of his former players, Andy Woodward also went public with his shocking experience with Bennell. After being jailed to serve a 30-year sentence, the former English Coach pleaded guilty to all court cases.
Barry Bennell was convicted of 43 separate offenses by the court in 2018. Although, the total number of charges was initially numbered at 55. The court proceeded to label him predatory, manipulative, and even evil. “You could not have been more wrong,” said the judge to Bennell. His demise acted as a reminder of his harrowing actions against young players, for which he was rightly punished.

Who was Barry Bennell? A brief background
Barry Bennell, who passed away at HMP Littlehey in Prison, was a youth coach and was in charge of Manchester City, Stoke City, and Crewe Alexandra back in the 1980s and 1990s. He was also known by the name of Richard Jones and was a youth coach for Machester City in the ’70s as well. He started as a youth player for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Afterwards, Bennell transitioned into a youth coach and trained hundreds of young boys back in the 70’s and 80’s. He built a reputation for himself as one of the best youth coaches in England. As per reports, this boosted his links to Manchester City where he would scout players accordingly.
Bennell was also known for conducting summer holiday camps at Butlins and also overseas, in the United States. Done from a position of power as head coach for several youth teams, were eventually, brought to light, and punished by the court.
Bary Benell was called“devil incarnate” by the court. It was because he appeared as a “God” for aspiring young players, and instead of helping them realize their dreams, took their innocence, and scarred their childhood. After serving over 34 years in prison, the Englishman’s demise at age 69 remains a shock to the World of Football.
