Erling Haaland, a phenomenon, put an end to Manchester City’s demolition of Manchester United with his third consecutive hat trick at home in the Premier League on a humiliating afternoon for Erik ten Hag’s team. Haaland is currently too strong, too hungry, and just too good for the opposition.

The Norwegian is also capable of creating, as evidenced by the passes he provided for Phil Foden to record his second and final finish while also scoring a hat-trick. In this 188th derby, City taught its neighbours a lesson that left them in disbelief, making it the mother and father of all mismatches.

Manchester United were 4-0 down against their bitter rivals Man City at half-time, and the Brentford Twitter admin saw it as an opportunity to mock Erik ten Hag’s side. Brentford found themselves 4-0 up against Manchester United earlier in the season, with Manchester City in the same position during their game against their rivals. Brentford saw this as a chance with a tweet mocking United, as seen below.

It was a ruthless performance from the Premier League champions, who were four goals up at half-time after tearing United apart time and again with their pass and move football. First-half doubles from Erling Haaland and Phil Foden had United four goals down at half-time, before they both capped off their hat-tricks after the interval as United conceded six in a Premier League game for just the fourth time.

Antony scored with an excellent strike early in the second half and Anthony Martial came off the bench to score a late double that made the score a bit more respectable, but it was an otherwise dominant showing from City against Erik ten Hag’s men.
