WATCH: Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro get into heated argument after Manchester United’s PL clash v Aston Villa
Both midfielders are important personalities in the Manchester United dressing room.
Bruno Fernandes was seen arguing angrily with Casemiro following a 1-0 victory over Aston Villa. Manchester United improved their chances of finishing in the top four with a narrow 1-0 win at Old Trafford. Erik Ten Hag’s team is clear of the chasers in the race for a Champions League spot.
Fernandes scored the game-winning goal in the 39th minute to quiet down the travelling fans. They had been mocking fun of the United captain since the beginning of the game. However, despite his contribution to the victory, Casemiro was angered by Fernandes’ decision-making in the latter stages of the game.
During the conversation with Fernandes before Harry Maguire approached them, Casemiro was seen wide-eyed and angered. The circumstances were reminiscent of the pair’s heated on-field discussion following United’s Carabao Cup victory in February. This piqued the interest of Manchester United fans watching on television. After being uploaded on social media, the video has already gone viral.

Jadon Sancho hits back at Bruno Fernandes’ “moaning”
Even Jadon Sancho exchanged words with Fernandes during the match. The United winger was spotted telling the Portuguese to “Stop moaning.” Regardless, it was a memorable afternoon for Fernandes, whose winning strike was his 100th league goal.
Fernandes emphasised the significance of the victory as United seeks to create momentum heading into the final weeks of the season. “We did what we were trained to do, we could have scored more goals but we are happy with the 1-0 and the three points. “It’s really important for us to get top four and then we have to think about winning a trophy so we have to find the energy and aim for the top four and the FA Cup,” he said.
Manchester United leads fifth-placed Liverpool by seven points with a game in hand. The Reds reduced the gap on the top four with a thrilling win over Tottenham Hotspur. United, on the other hand, remain clear favourites to qualify for the Champions League next season. In just over a month, they will also face Manchester City in the FA Cup final at Wembley.
