Erik Ten Hag is targeting a striker for Manchester United this summer. A gaping hole has been left in that position since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo in January. The club brought in Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley as a short-term fix but he has failed to impress the Old Trafford-faithfuls.
The Dutch striker couldn’t manage to score a Premier League goal. Therefore, United are targeting a long-term option. Players like Harry Kane, Victor Oshimen and Goncalo Ramos have been linked to the club. Another name on this list is France international Randal Kolo Muani.
The 24-year-old enjoyed a great season with Eintracht Frankfurt scoring 23 goals in 46 appearances. His form has caught the eyes of major clubs in the world, including Manchester United. United vice-captain Bruno Fernandes believes that the Frenchman is a great prospect and has all the features to lead the line for the Red Devils.
Speaking to Royaltiz, Fernandes had good words to say for the player, “Kolo Muani, I think he is doing really well,” “We saw it in the World Cup that he was good but I think now during the season, he’s been doing even better.”
“I think he’s together with Rafa [Leao] one of the most promising [players] in the world right now. He probably has now the next step to a big club. He’s a player that I am quite happy to look at what is going to be in the future because I think he is a player that still has a lot to give to football,” added the Portuguese playmaker It is yet to be seen whether Manchester United listens to the Portuguese midfielder and signs the player.
Manchester United could sell Fred after signing Mason Mount

According to reports, Manchester United is set to proceed with their plans to offload a midfielder following the completion of a deal to acquire Mason Mount. The club has reached an agreement with Chelsea for the transfer of the 24-year-old player, and an official announcement of the signing is expected to be made by United in the coming week.
Thus, the club is now willing to sell Fred, who is 30 years old and has been drawing interest from Fulham since May. With Fred entering the final year of his contract at Old Trafford, this summer presents the last opportunity for the club to secure a reasonable transfer fee for him before his contract expires.
In addition to Fred, Manchester United is open to considering offers for Donny van de Beek, who is 26 years old. Van de Beek had a disappointing season, marked by a lack of impact, and his campaign was cut short due to a knee injury suffered in January.
