Chelsea might suffer yet another rejection in the 2022-23 season as chances of appointing a new Sporting Director to look bleak

The Premier League side Chelsea were all set to reach a new agreement on personal terms with Christoph Freund as new sporting director. Talks with RB Salzburg were made but recently in an exclusive report, it’s found that the new director might stay at the club as the club wants it.

The 45year old director was a top man in football and business mind in the game as he was the main man behind the channeling of supreme talents like Erling Haaland, Sadio Mane, Keita, Upamecano, formulating ideas, data, and talents, was expected to work with Potter at the club.

The possible rejection is looking bad for Chelsea as the blues have been rejected quite a lot this season, with the first rejection of Wesley Fofana which they now have signed but the clubs rejected their starting offer and they almost had to double it to make the deal happen, as they were eyeing the player since a long time.

A few days back, Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel was sacked by the club owner following their loss in the Champions League opener. The club has recently reported that Graham Potter would be their new coach for the club. Christoph Freund was to be appointed as the new sporting directer, but things are not looking well.

After the announcement took place, the Mainz Sporting director Christian Heidel strikes a nerve with his harsh criticism of the childish behavior and rushed decision-making of the blues director Todd Boehly. Slams him and said, “Someone who has no idea of football.” The advancement of Todd was found but the deal is still stuck.

The harsh statements were made and it was up to the media’s attention, as Tuchel once shared a great camaraderie with Christian Heidel the Mainz Sporting director. The decision was indeed rushed and a particular amount of time was snatched that the German coach deserved.
