Chelsea have spent over £1 billion in transfers and loan deals ever since Todd Boehly took charge of the club. As the January transfer window edges all the more closer, rumors of a potential departure have presented themselves. Conor Gallagher, the 23-year-old academy product has been linked with a move away from the club.
The midfielder, however, plays an important role in Mauricio Pochettino‘s squad and has made 19 appearances in the Premier League so far this season. Pochettino has made him acting ‘captain’ on several occasions following Reece James’ injury as well. However, in the light of several ‘failed’ big money transfers made in the summer, Chelsea’s and Todd Boehly’s decision to permit Gallagher’s departure comes as a surprise.

As per Gianluca DiMarzio, Chelsea value Gallagher at $45 million. Spurs have made it no secret that they are interested in the youngster and were in talks to bring him to the Tottenham Hotspur stadium in the summer.
Pochettino still has unwavering faith in the midfielder as Conor Gallagher was also named in the starting XI to face Luton Town. The club is currently tenth in the league table.
Victor Osimhen’s CRYPTIC message under Chelsea transfer post goes viral
Victor Osimhen has picked up right where he left off in Serie A. The Nigerian striker was heavily linked with a move away from the defending Serie A champions a few months ago. Increasing interest from top clubs and a controversial reel posted on the club’s social media handle added to the chances of his departure. However, all issues were ‘resolved’ as the club and Osimhen came to an understanding.

On top of the same, Napoli have signed a contract extension with Osimhen, keeping him at the club until 2026. His release clause has been set at £115 million and Napoli have also doubled his wages. However, the player’s reply under a post wishing him happy birthday has sparked conversation on social media. “Happy birthday Victor Osimhen, please come and rescue Chelsea soon ??” read the post. The image of a young Osimhen wearing a Chelsea shirt was also added.
The player’s reply was short, but enough to spark conversation. Made up of three emojis, Osimhen’s reply of “❤️❤️?” was enough to send Chelsea fans into pandemonium. With their attacking front being highly inconsistent, the arrival of a star like Osimhen will greatly help the club. His message has been seen as a reason to push for the striker even though some have pushed it off as a simple ‘thank you’ to the post.
