Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr. is no stranger to making headlines with his performances on three pitch. The Brazilian is known for his flashy dribbling, close control, and silky-smooth skills. However, the winger has debuted his ‘marvelous’ back tattoo on social media, with Twitter going into a meltdown following the same.
His tattoo features legendary athletes including Muhammad Ali, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, and Pele. Vinicius has always liked other sports, especially the NBA. This was evident in his recent tattoo, which takes up most of his inked back. Furthermore, the tattoo artist also spectacularly captured the likes of Pelé’s iconic World Cup moment.
Kobe Bryant also features on the tattoo, with his iconic moment in 2008 when he scored a 3-pointer against the Nuggets in the playoffs. However, fans have noticed a significant ‘anomaly’ in the Brazilian’s tattoo. Michael Jordan, who was comfortably right-handed throughout his career, is depicted as taking a left-handed shot in his tattoo.
Meanwhile, all of these legends were inked above the word ‘mentality’ on his back, depicting the inspiration Vinicius takes from all these sporting legends.
Vinicius Jr. and Giannis Antetokounmpo’s courtside link-up during NBA game goes viral
Vinicius Jr. and Giannis Antetokounmpo share a close relationship off the pitch. The Real Madrid winger and the Milwaukee Bucks player. Giannis and co. spectacularly overcame the Brooklyn Nets and following the game, the two shared a moment on the courtside. Giannis presented the Brazilian star with an array of gifts, including a pair of signed sneakers and his match-worn jersey.
In a moment of respect for the Brazilian, Giannis hailed his friend as the “number one Brazilian player in the world”. This is not the first time Vinicius has linked up with big-name NBA stars. It was only days ago, on Christmas, when Vinicius and LeBron James shared a moment after the Los Angeles Lakers won against the Boston Celtics. The two swapped jerseys and posed for pictures afterward.
Vinicius is currently nursing a hamstring injury which he picked up in October. He has been sidelined for over two and a half months as the club currently sits at the top of the league table. Even though the team has been doing ‘just fine’ without the #7, his return will be a crucial addition to Carlo Ancelotti‘s side for the upcoming La Liga and Champions League matches. Vinicius has racked up 6 goals and 3 assists in all competitions for the club.
