“Coming for the Ballon d’Or”- Fans go wild as Marcus Rashford leaves Chelsea behind in a peculiar feat after scoring brace in PL clash against Leicester City
Marcus Rashford's recent record will haunt Chelsea supporters

Marcus Rashford in action for Manchester United
It proved yet another majestic night for Manchester United as they crushed Leicester City 3-0 in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Sunday. The Red Devils sealed an easy win as the man-in-form, who is also probably getting Ballon d’Or shouts by now, Marcus Rashford, scored a brace while Jadon Sancho also bagged one goal against his name.
Scoring 2 goals against the Foxes, Marcus Rashford took his tally of goals for this season to 24. Interestingly, with this, he not only matched Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal tally for the same club last season, but he also went past Chelsea in terms of their goals in the Premier League’s 2023-24 season so far. The Blues have only netted 23 goals in the Premier League this season and since they have also conceded the same amount of goals, their goal differential stands at 0 as of now.
After the goals against Leicester City on Sunday, it became Rashford’s most successful season in terms of the number of goals scored, breaking his tally of the 2019-20 season in which he scored 22 goals but couldn’t help Manchester United win any titles. It also marked the seventh consecutive match at Old Trafford in which the Englishmen scored.
