Title defenders Manchester City lost the clash against Tottenham Hotspurs on Sunday, while Pep had an amusing factor to blame. Pep Guardiola, City’s coach blamed their ‘exhausting’ travel to North London the main reason for their defeat. The 52 year old stated that travelling to London by road is like ‘travelling to Europe’, labelling it the main reason for their 1-0 defeat against Spurs.

“Coming to London is like going to northern Europe, It is four and a half hours to get to a hotel. It’s so exhausting to come to London, I’m sorry.Pep Guardiola stated in their 1-0 defeat as Harry Kane’s early goal made all the difference. “We need to come back to Manchester and prepare for the game against Aston Villa.” Guardiola added, already looking forward to bounce back from the defeat.

Manchester City had a chance to close their gap against League leaders Arsenal to just two points after the Gunners fell short to Everton in their last Premier League match. However Spurs had the better of Manchester City as they held last year’s league champions back after scoring an early goal. Due to their defeat, Arsenal still have a 5 point lead on top, with a game in hand.

England Captain Harry Kane set a personal record in the premier league history as Tottenham Hotspurs defeated Manchester City on Sunday. The match ended in a 1-0 victory for Spurs, as Harry Kane scored the only goal, in the first half of the game. He broke Jimmy Greaves’ record as Spurs’ all time top scorer. Harry Kane smashed the 53 years old record as he bagged his 267th goal for the club.

The winner goal against Pep Guardiola’s City was also Harry Kane’s 200th Premier League goal. The 29 year old star is only the third ever player to hit 200 goals in the Premier League, since 1992. Manchester United star Wayne Rooney, and legend Alan Shearer are the other two stars to have achieved the feat. Harry Kane was grateful for their win against Manchester City, “It’s hard to put into words and I’m so glad it came in a win.” He stated in a post match interview.

“It is a great feeling. When I started playing regularly it wasn’t even in my imagination to score 200 Premier League goals and I have a few more years left so hopefully there are more to come.” Kane promised more goals to his fans after his huge achievement with the club.
