Since joining the team, Erling Haaland has been in top-notch form for Manchester City, scoring 25 goals in the Premier League. Still, according to Pep Guardiola, he should learn from the best and should analyze some famous players like Harry Kane, The English striker is regarded as an exceptional striker, having scored 18 goals in all competitions this season. Manchester City wanted to buy Kane but chose Haaland instead because of Tottenham’s hefty asking price.

‘One of Erling’s attributes that surprised me most is his awareness that he can improve in many departments. I’m pretty sure he watches Harry Kane and not only him, but others too.’ City manager Pep Guardiola remarked. ‘Erling has a strong desire to think that ‘Erling has this will to say, “I can do better,” and at his age, it is the best thing he can believe. Otherwise, it will be boring. Until we stop, we can always improve. It is the only thing in our lives. Never stop.’

Today, Haaland and Kane will battle off. The last time they met, it was a 4-2 thriller that City won. Pep addressed his squad and whether they had the ‘hunger’ to win trophies. The Club has been far from flawless this season, and the Spurs have a decent opportunity of taking all three points. Still, they must cut out the individual errors and address their back five teething difficulties while also limiting Erling Haaland.

Erling Haaland is having an incredible debut season for the Premier League giants. Before his transfer, there was major speculation that he would not be able to fit into Pep’s system of possessional play. He scored a brace against West Ham on his debut, silenced his doubters, and has scored four hattricks this season. At the same time, he has been compared to Thierry Henry, Cristiano Ronaldo, and many more.

Everton won the league title in 1927-28 under William Ralph Dean, also known as Dixie, who scored 60 league goals despite missing three games that season. Dean spoke about his record many years after his historic season. “People often ask me if that 60-goal record will be broken,” he says. “I believe it will. But just one man is willing to do it. That’s the guy who walks on water. I believe he is the only one.”

With 31 goals and three assists in all competition, Haaland is in cruise control to break the Premier League’s record of 34 goals in one season. Haaland seems to be the chosen one to ‘walk on water,’ he has a long way to go before breaking Dixie Dean’s record, but it might happen this season or in the future.
