Cristiano Ronaldo breaks another record after Premier League clash against Newcastle United

When it comes to breaking records, there’s no name other than Cristiano Ronaldo that comes to mind as often as his. It seems like with each game that he’s being a part of, he tends to break some record either small or big. This time it’s the record for the list of most appearances in football history.

The Portuguese legend has recently surpassed fellow player and legend Gianluigi Buffon‘s fourth position and has replaced him with 1136 games ahead of his 1135. The star has now claimed the fourth position in the all-time list behind the greats, Peter Shelton with 1364 games, Rogerio Ceni with 1213 games, and Fabio with 1201 games.

The Portuguese star has the ultimate chance of breaking Fabio’s record to get to the third-highest mark and it looks possible as the player still has time to play 65 more games, including the ones on the International side. It’s been really a tough position and quite an age to achieve a new height.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s longevity is ridiculous

CR7’s fifth World Cup is approaching and seems like the legend is delighted by it. He has started in four world cups now, starting in 2006, 2010,2014, and 2018. The longevity is ridiculous, as playing at his highest level. His international records speak for themselves.

With 117 international records highest goals of all time, and having 2 major international trophies that include one UEFA Euro Cup 2016 and the UEFA Nations League in 2018-19. The player has drawn his country’s map all over the world. Played in the European championships and is the highest scorer there as well.

One of the longest careers in World football, the Portuguese great is 37years of age but doesn’t seem to slow down, the star would be 38 next year and if he wishes to play at the next Euros, would be playing at 40 that is ridiculously insane for someone of his age.
