Cristiano Ronaldo recently chose which Portuguese National team player he would want next to join his current club Al Nassr. Saudi Clubs have lately been very active in recruiting top-notch players like Karim Benzema and N’golo Kante to join the league by offering lucrative contracts.
In a recent interview, a journalist asked Ronaldo, “Which of the players in the world would you choose to play for Al Nassr?” To this, the Portuguese star sarcastically replied, “I choose you.”
Ronaldo’s current club Al Nassr had been linked with quite a few big names in the world of football. The recent name added to the list was Moroccan winger Hakim Ziyech. The prolific winger moved from Ajax to Chelsea in 2020 for a sum of €40 million. Even though he showed a sparkes of his talent in the first few matches for the Blues. But within a few months, former manager Thomas Tuchel lost his faith in the player and he ended up as a bench warmer.
The situation remained the same when the baton of the managerial position was given to Graham Potter. He too didn’t use Ziyech much. As a result, Ziyech tried to find regular football outside Chelsea and was on the verge of moving to Paris Saint Germain on loan in January but the deal dropped off in the last minute of the transfer window due to some administrative fault in the London club.
Chelsea is trying to find a solution to balance their books and would be looking to offload players. Ziyech reportedly is considering his options outside Chelsea with Al Nassr talks advancing steadily. If he joins the Saudi Club, he would be playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.

He said, “I’m always nervous in the national team. With the anthem, I’m always nervous, it’s good. It’s a sign of responsibility, pride, and motivation; representing the national team is the height of the career. Representing family, parents, friends … If I hope to do more. Obviously, that is why I’m here. That is why I keep on walking.”
The Portuguese star then concluded by saying,“Living the moment, day by day, seeing my form, I think I’m still doing well, helping, scoring goals, and good performances. As long as I’m motivated and everyone else, if those by my side like my presence and leadership, I will not give up the selection in any way. As Bruno Alves said, I will not give away my place for free. Feeling like an asset is pride and motivation. What I want most is to help Portugal.”
