“I don’t have respect for him”- Cristiano Ronaldo slams Eric Ten Hag over unfair treatment at Manchester United
Cristiano Ronaldo and Eric Ten Hag
While the Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo has given an explosive yet controversial interview about Eric Ten Hag and several teammates at Manchester United, the star spoke about the coach’s recent treatment of him and how the coach did not show the respect the man actually deserved.
“I don’t have respect for him because he doesn’t show respect for me.” The Portuguese said about the new coach, on his recent criticism of him, while the coach has reluctantly managed to keep CR7 on the bench, providing him the least playing minutes for a striker.
“If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you,” said the Manchester United player while differentiating between himself and the coach claiming that the Coach has somehow failed to show the man respect that he is entitled to at the club, for which he has done so much.
There have been massive problems between the coach and Cristiano Ronaldo but the interview that has been given to Piers Morgan is shots fired straight at the authorities, also while being inside the same very circle that you’re speaking against.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s disagreement with Eric Ten Hag
The differences began when the coach expected a different style of play from the star and which he tried to put himself in, lacking conviction in the player’s attitude towards the club, Ten Hag decided to cut short the already declining pace of play for the player.
The ongoing disagreement and not having a satisfactory dialogue exchange led to the extreme step from the player when he walked off the stands and refused to get subbed on. The repercussions to which landed the player in a rather questionable position and posted an indirect apology to the club and the coach.
