Here’s why Cristiano Ronaldo to Chelsea won’t be a successful transfer?

It’s no mystery that Chelsea struggled to score goals in the past campaign. Compared to Cristiano Ronaldo’s 18 goals and three assists, Timo Werner, Romelu Lukaku, and Kai Havertz totaled 20 goals and four assists. It creates a void on top of the formation as Lukaku has chosen to return to Italy.
It doesn’t get much more extensive than signing a world superstar like Ronaldo if Boehly is seeking to create a splash, at least on the surface. He would provide the profile that the team wanted to gain from Lukaku since, even at 37, his finishing is better than most forwards on the market.
At least in public, Ronaldo and Manchester United want to keep working together. Although Ronaldo might not be a good match for what ten Hag intends to do, skilled managers can design a system that works for the players at their disposal. Without Ronaldo, the offensive load would rest on inexperienced Anthony Elanga and erratic Marcus Rashford, which is undoubtedly too much for them to handle alone.
Does Cristiano Ronaldo fit at Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea?

Ronaldo and Thomas Tuchel don’t seem like a perfect fit, even if Chelsea really needs a goal striker. You’d think Chelsea would steer clear of something similar after witnessing the recent public breakdown between Lukaku and the team, yet here we are. Although Ronaldo has been a positive force in the Manchester United locker room, Tuchel would disapprove of the way he conducts himself on the field, namely his refusal to press.
A Tuchel squad is known for its work ethic. Ronaldo used to play with a relentless running ability, but he had to change it to further his career. Although he is still performing at a high level, it doesn’t make much sense for Chelsea given their present setup. It’s difficult to imagine Tuchel making the same adjustments to Ronaldo if he wouldn’t make them for Lukaku and would instead choose to bench him.
The Number 9 curse at Chelsea:

Chelsea has had the fortune of signing some impeccable strikers at the top of the game. But footballing greats wearing the Chelsea number nine have drastically failed. The likes of Fernando Torres, Romelu Lukaku, Alexander Pato, Gonzalo Higuain have all failed dramatically after signing as the Chelsea striker.
Though Ronaldo plays with a number 7, he plays as a striker and it’ll be hard for him to accustom to the Chelsea system. Chelsea has been linked with Man City winger Raheem Sterling and probably the Englishman will be much more suitable fit at the London club..
