Determined to make amends, Ronaldo has been in touch with his closest friends from the United squad to arrange a visit to his homeland or even to come to visit him in Saudi Arabia, where he currently plays for Al Nassr. Ronaldo left Old Trafford after the Former Real Madrid man’s criticism of United in an explosive interview with Piers Morgan dented his relationship with the management. He then signed a £ 170 million-a-year deal with the Saudi side Al Nassr, the biggest-ever contract offered to a professional footballer.

According to a United insider, “There are still a few lads here who have nothing but respect for Ronny and were sad how it all ended, because they never got to say a proper goodbye.” Despite leaving the player WhatsApp groups, Ronaldo has promised to keep in touch with a few friends and included them in his plans.
