Dani Alves was arrested for an alleged rape allegation on December 30.

Dinorah Santana, Dani Alves’ ex-wife and mother of two of his children claimed that the Brazilian was ‘incapable’ of hurting another woman. She was also Dani Alves’ agent for a while. She told that her children had been struggling since Dani Alves had been arrested for alleged sexual assault. Santana also told that strangers were sending messages to her children on Instagram, and it was ‘affecting’ them negatively.

The Brazilian international was arrested after he was accused of sexual assault on a young woman in a nightclub in Barcelona. In an interview with SPORT, Dinorah Santana shared her disbelieve in the situation, “We don’t believe what’s going on. It’s unbelievable. Not even in the worst nightmare could we imagine something like this. We are not well. Neither me nor the children. It is being very complicated every day that goes by.“

“Strangers started writing to our children on Instagram. As much as they had their account on private, they have read the messages and they are very affected. Our children know that Alves didn’t do that with that woman…” Santana claimed that Dani Alves was innocent and even her children believed that. “Dani would be incapable of dishonoring a woman. I was married to him for 10 years and I have known him for 22 years.” She informed.

Dani Alves’ mother believes in his innocence amidst allegations

Dani Alves’ mother Dona Lucia met with Dani Alves’ lawyers on Thursday to discuss the ongoing situation. The Brazilian International has been accused of allegedly raping a young woman in a nightclub in Barcelona. Lucia went to Cristobal Martell’s law firm to learn more about the defence strategy for Dani Alves.

Lucia has yet to give an official statement on the allegations against the ex-Barcelona player. During her visit to Alves’ lawyers, she was unwilling to speak to the reporters. When reporters asked her if her son was innocent, Lucia nodded her head several times to convey her thoughts. Dani Alves confessed that he had been unfaithful to his wife, however, he stated that the young woman had consented. Alves’ mother believes her son’s version of the story.

Dani Alves’ mother is reportedly under a lot of stress and is overwhelmed and saddened by the ongoing situation. The information that had been uncovered deeply shocked Lucia. Alves has now been in prison without bail for more than two weeks now since the accusation on December 30. Even though the testimonies and the evidence are not in his favor, Dani Alves’ family is battling to prove his innocence.
