“Don’t be his fanboy”- Former Liverpool player urges ex-Manchester United star to stop defending Cristiano Ronaldo
Jamie Carragher & Rio Ferdinand
Former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher has taken a hit over, the Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand, for defending Cristiano Ronaldo after the match against City, where the Red Devils faced a humiliating loss of 6-3. The Liverpool former player was earlier trolled by Rio through his Twitter.
Jamie Carragher took it to Twitter and said, “Don’t be his fanboy you’re Rio Ferdinand for FFS!!”, Clearly hitting out at him and urging him to not show support to CR7 on his bad form and getting angry with the coach for benching the player in an important match against an important team and crucial points.
Not the first time that Liverpool former player and the Manchester United legend have crossed swords, be it face to face or on Twitter, this time it’s about the infamous decision of Eric Ten Hag not starting the Portuguese star in the whole match against their arch-rivals.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s decision at Manchester United
The Portuguese legend has been an avid scorer in the Champions League football, and so everyone wants to play their expert field, after the last season, where the player himself had a good individual season, the team collectively performed down the mark, and failed to qualify for this year’s Champions League.
Creating a void in the player’s life, as it’s the last couple of years for the man, the legend won’t be playing for long, creating a wish in his heart to leave, links to Chelsea and several other clubs were evident, but was natural for someone at his level to tolerate the poor performances consistently of the Red Devils.
The player’s stay at the club, doesn’t have his heart here, the least playing minutes are troubling, and the forced stay has let his confidence down, however, the man is a goal threat wherever he stands, and being that he has achieved greatness earlier and could do so again if dealt with well.
