In the season’s opening El Clasico, FC Barcelona had a slight advantage over Real Madrid in Las Vegas this evening. Although it’s the preseason, this game is crucial, especially for two individuals. It was inevitable that Robert Lewandowski would make his debut versus Real Madrid, and he did not surprise.
Real Madrid v FC Barcelona in Las Vegas:
However, Raphinha scored an unbelievable long-range goal that slammed into the top corner and was the most significant player of this first half. Real Madrid struggled to keep up the tempo early on, but they still had a couple of nice scoring opportunities that fell short. We had a significant potential altercation at the conclusion of the first half that wasn’t really serious for either side.
Busquets and Alba tag-teamed Vinicius Junior just before halftime. This was more than enough to frighten several Real Madrid players. Both sides had to often substitute because of the extreme heat in Las Vegas. That’s exactly what happened following the break since Lewandowski was not permitted to remain on the field.
Eleven substitutions were made between the two sides, and when Real Madrid had Casemiro, Kroos, and Modric on the field, they played much better. However, in the game’s closing 20 minutes, Barcelona still had the most significant opportunities. For them, it wasn’t even a competition. Despite his displeasure with several of the officials’ choices, coach Xavi Hernandez was pleased with the outcome after the final whistle.
Regardless of the outcome, Thibaut Courtois of Belgium was undoubtedly the most crucial player on the field. In the final 10 minutes of the game, he made a total of four saves.
Barcelona would have destroyed real Madrid in the game’s last moments if it weren’t for his effort. The Blaugranas are performing well so far in the preseason. However, Real Madrid needs a few more matches to find its rhythm.
