Dubai Investors on the verge of buying Manchester United for whopping $10.6 billion after Glazers put the club on sale: Reports
Dubai investors to buy Manchester United after Glazers put it up on sale
The Manchester United owners- Tha Glazers family are considering selling the club, as they seek large investment. Just now, the Dubai Consortium has shown their interest in buying the club and is potentially on red alert as a surprise bid of a whopping amount of $10.6bn is to be announced, making it a great profit for the current owners.
According to multiple reports, the Glazers are ready to receive outside investment in the club. The surprise from the Dubai Consortium is a shock to many, as more wealth means more business for the fans. They will become the third Premier League club with Middle Eastern owners if the move materializes. Man City and Newcastle United are already backed by rich Arabian owners.
The club’s ownership and management have always been in question since Sir Alex Ferguson left in 2013, but can it be a redemption from the labeled bad owners to the potentially good ones? the question will prevail. More money and power only corrupt the spirit of the game, leaving a stain mark on the club’s legacy.
The club’s new owners if it’s Dubai, the cash flow and power will increase and it’s just a way to shift from evil to a bigger evil. Money makers never manage the club like their own. They will be more focused on marketing the club’s history and increasing their revenue streams. The players the staff, and the development required is still uncertain for the Red Devils. But at the same time, if they can bring in an owner like that of Manchester City, then the sky is the limit for United.
The Glazers’ 17 years spell at Manchester United
Distinctively the fans of the prestigious club were never happy with the ownership of the club falling in the hands of Glazers, and several protests have been conducted against them, in their whole 17 years of charge. The fans and players have never been appreciative of the fact that they are the managing body, and the club’s growth depends on them. They have been criticized for not investing money in the club while while taking big shares from the profit.
The club’s ownership and management have faced a troublesome journey since Sir Alex Ferguson left in 2013. The legacy of the 13 premier league titles he left behind was too much to be replaced easily. But it is an abloute disgrace that the management failed to guide the club in the right path. The owners never showed interest in actually developing the club’s infrastructure and technology.
