This World Cup quarterfinal matchup with France is one that England supporters are taking extremely seriously. So much so that one die-hard fan has urged his fellow Three Lions fans to boycott the top French cuisines. That’s right, one young fan has declared ‘war’ on France ahead of the game, directing his fellow supporter not to consume any food from across the English Channel.

Following England’s 3-0 victory over Senegal in the Round of 16, Three Lions supporter Liam posted on social media to prepare his fellow supporters for the forthcoming match with France.

“Right lads, it’s War,” he tweeted. “No Baguettes from now on, No Croissiants, and don’t you even f**king dare look at Macarons. Come on England.”Other Twitter users joined in the comments section to confirm that they were following the rules since they were so inspired by his pep talk.

One replied: “I drive a Renault and need to get to work…” while another added: “F**k sake. Pain au chocolates are the only thing I eat at school cause all the rest is s***e.” As a third said: “I had pasta for dinner the day of the euros final last year. Still blame myself for that loss.”
