Erling Haaland in the Champions League
The excellent Norwegian footballer Erling Haaland has broken the record for the highest number of goals scored by the youngest player in the UEFA Champions League with the English Premier League team Manchester City by scoring 25 goals. The record was broken in their last against Sevilla.
Haaland surpassed Kylian Mbaappe who was the former holder of the title. Kylian Mbappe is 22 years and 80 days old while Erling Haaland is 22 years and 47 days old. Manchester City won the games against Sevilla 4-0 where two of the goals were scored by Haaland and the other two were scored by Phil Foden and Ruben Dias.
Haaland has been in his best form this season with Manchester City. He joined Manchester City in May this year and has been scoring goals like a professional letting us forget the fact that he is a debutant for Manchester City. He also scored two back-to-back hat-tricks with one against Crystal Palace and the next against Nottingham Forest.
Erling had played for teams like Bryne, Borussia Dortmund, Molde, and Red Bull Salzburg and this was his first time in English Premier League. But he has amazed everyone with his excellent spell. He has broken the stereotype of time consumption for a new player in a prestigious league like EPL.
