He said he might consider going to the USA like Lionel Messi did when he aged. In the interview, he talked about the idea of playing in America. He mentioned that he’s only 23 now, so he hasn’t thought much about it, but when he’s around 33, he might think about playing in the MLS for his last few years in football.

Erling Braut Haaland has only gotten better as his career has gone on. Haaland’s goal fest began with Molde in the 17/18 season where he made his debut aged 16. He scored in a 3-2 win for Ole Gunnar Solskjær‘s side. Since a young age, he has impressed with his performances which led to his move to RB Salzburg. With 29 goals in 27 appearances for the club, Haaland was quickly courted by the top teams in Europe. After just one season in the Austrian League, the Norwegian Viking made the next step forward. He chose Germany. He chose Borussia Dortmund.

A hat-trick in his debut for the club, fans were in awe of their €22.5m talent. This was just the beginning as Haaland would end his first season at the club with 13 goals in 15 appearances. With an overall tally of 86 goals in 89 games, he left the German giants for Manchester City, his father’s former team. Where he managed to score a record-breaking 36 goals in his debut season, last season.

It seems like Haaland was the final piece in the jigsaw in this Manchester City side, since Aguero’s departure. It took Pep Guardiola seven years at the club to lift the UEFA Champions League, it took Haaland 8 years since his debut to lift the trophy. Even after lifting the coveted treble, they look hungry for more.
