Former Chelsea first-team doctor Eva Carneiro gave the fans a glimpse of hope for her return to the Premier League club. The news arrives at a time when the Blues are going through a horror phase. Their star defender Reece James recently joined the list of injured players which already includes Ben Chilwell, N’Golo Kante, Ruben Loftus Cheek, Armando Broja, Wesley Fofana, and Carney Chukwuemeka.
A fan recently posted a picture of Eva Carneiro asking her, “One last dance?”. To which replied, “Vernga!,” which means “Come on” or “Let’s Go”. After Eva’s reaction to the likely return to Chelsea, fans could not keep calm and the Tweet went viral getting over 100,000 likes. Another fan requested Carneiro tweeting, “Please come back to Chelsea we really need you. The doctors present here are not helping matters at all.”
Someone else wrote, “We the Chelsea fans will do everything absolutely possible to reunite with again… we need you back at Stamford Bridge – come back home, ma’am.”
In her medical career, Eva has worked in Chelsea, West Ham, and many more big places. However, during her stint with Chelsea, Jose Mourinho publicly criticized her and physio Jon Fearn for running on the field to check on Eden Hazard. A month later, Carneiro left Chelsea and took the club to court settling for £5 million over her dismissal.
Chelsea confirms Reece James’ injury after Bournemouth win

The England defender, Reece James, recently got injured within seven minutes of the second half in Chelsea’s Premier League fixture against Bournemouth. As expected, the 23-year-old was left devasted and irritated by the recurring injury which ruled him out of the World Cup this year as well for the Three Lions.
Chelsea coach Graham Potter told reporters that he is keeping his “fingers crossed” for good news. Luckily, the prayers of fans and coach Potter were answered as Chelsea confirmed the injury is not as bad as the first time.
“Defender Reece James underwent assessment earlier today after being substituted during the second half of last night’s 2-0 Premier League victory over AFC Bournemouth due to a knee injury,” read the club statement.
