Sir Alex Ferguson reportedly apologised to former Manchester United boss Ole Gunner Solksjaer
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will join Sir Alex Ferguson for the match against Wolves. The 50-year-old is primed to make his first return to his old side since his sacking in November 2021. Ferguson attending United’s clash with Wolves comes after Solskjaer revealed the Scot had apologised to him for comments about Cristiano Ronaldo.
In October 2021, the Portugal international found himself benched for a 1-1 draw with Everton. Overhearing the decision, Ferguson openly criticized it in a candid chat with UFC star Khabib Nurmagomedov, and that exchange subsequently circulated on social media.
Ole Gunnar Solksjaer spoke about Manchester United in an interview with The Athletic. He was questioned about being involved with the club, as well as his reign as manager. “I’m clever enough to stay away. It’s difficult enough to be the manager of Manchester United without the ex-managers trying to give you advice. That’s the one time Sir Alex has ever apologised to me. He rang me and apologised because he knows how difficult it is.”
