Karim Benzema scored a seven-minute hat-trick as Real Madrid went 4-0 up at halftime against Real Valladolid at the Santiago Bernabeu. Rodrygo Goes opened the scoring for the home side.
Going 4-0 up, Real Madrid have surely put the tie to bed way before the game ends, and also keep their faint title hopes alive. Karim Benzema took over after Rodrygo gave the lead to Real Madrid thanks to a Marco Asensio assist.
Benzema opened his scoring after Vinicius Junior provided a super cross which the Frenchman put in the back of the net. Three minutes later, after receiving another assist from Vinicius, Benzema netted his second.
However, the forward saved his best for last. He finished off the hat trick in spectacular fashion by lifting the ball over his head and past Valladolid goalkeeper Sergio Asenjo.

Fans react to Karim Benzema’s hat-trick
The hat trick meant Karim Benzema moved to within three goals of Robert Lewandowski’s golden boot goal-scoring tally. He is currently at 14 goals in La Liga with 10 games left to play.
Real Madrid are also in the hunt for the La Liga title. Considering they see off the win against Valladolid, the Los Blancos will move to within nine points of league leaders FC Barcelona who are currently at 72 points.
