Liverpool fans were left astonished after the club managed to win a 7-goal thriller against Fulham, following Trent Alexander-Arnold‘s 88th-minute strike. The final score at Anfield was 4-3 in favor of the Reds.

Liverpool struck twice in the opening 45 minutes of the game. Both were wonder strikes, Trent Alexander-Arnold’s curling freekick followed by a 30-yard scorcher from Alexis Mac Allister. However, TAA’s 20th-minute deadball masterclass was termed as an own-goal by Fulham goalkeeper, Bernd Leno. Despite the home team scoring two goals, the Cottagers managed to equalize each time. In the end, the first half concluded with a 2-2 score, thanks to goals from Harry Wilson and Kenny Tete.

In the second half, Bobby Cordova’s header from Tom Cairney’s cross put the visitors ahead 3-2 in the 80th minute. Despite the Kop’s disappointment, the game took a dramatic turn after the 86th minute. Wataru Endo and Alexander-Arnold scored in the 87th and 88th minute, staging an impressive comeback. Expectedly enough, TAA earned the Man of the Match award for his outstanding performance.

Furthermore, the last-gasp win sees Jurgen Klopp‘s side move to the 2nd position in the Premier League table. Especially after both Tottenham and Manchester City played out a draw in their clash later on.
