Arsenal were thrashed out of the Europa League after losing 5-4 on penalties to Sporting Lisbon. This was after an utterly thrilling second leg of their last 16 ties at the Emirates Stadium which finished 1-1 after extra time. But Arsenal are playing excellently in the Premier League with minimal flaws, and currently leading the table.

Arsenal Fans from all over came to Emirates Stadium for the game. One such fan was Kim Kardashian and her son Saint, making her an unexpected guest at the Emirates Stadium. It is reported that Kim Kardashian is “not very keen” on Mikel Arteta’s footballing style. But her son Saint Kardashian West is believed to be a fan of Arsenal after appearing in an Instagram photo wearing a Gunners kit.

 Football fans were startled to see Kim at the match because she rarely visits the UK. Some were even worried that her presence might have agitated the players. “Kim Kardashian curses Arsenal bye Europa is not for kids,” a fan joked. Another fan joked and said, “Kim Kardashian came from America to watch Arsenal get used and abused“. Many Arsenal fans joked on social media. They said that she “wasn’t allowed back“. The fans even questioned whether her presence was the cause of the team’s goal drought.

Fans haven’t reacted well to the loss of their club and have slammed Arsenal for their poor form during the penalty shootout. Many fans have even joked about Kim’s presence in the stand and said that Mikel Arteta’s side lost due to the ‘Kardashian Curse‘. Few fans even said that the team lost because they ‘lost focus on the game as ‘Kim was present in the stands’.

Despite their impressive form in the Premier League, Arteta’s outfit failed to win in either of the legs of the tie. The English giants are en route to becoming champions for the first time ending their 20-year-long draught. However, European glory keeps on eluding the Gunners as they crashed out of the round of 16 again. Fans at the Emirates Stadium were left disappointed to see their team lose in penalties. Fans are not happy with last night’s performance of the team and it’s quite visible from their comments. Although the title race is still at play, and Arsenal is still at the top of the table, fans will be looking forward to celebrating their team’s first Premier League title under Arteta, provided the club can manage to keep their game up against the likes of Manchester City and win the league.
