Soon after his decision to leave PSG was made public, the Argentine attacker received a billion-dollar contract from the Saudi Club Al Hilal. Although the player rejected the offer as he reportedly stated he wanted to be in Europe. Many also anticipated Messi making a dream return to Barcelona. But that too couldn’t happen because of the club’s difficult financial situation.
