Neymar Jr is back in Saudi Arabia after undergoing surgery for his torn anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus while playing for Brazil. Reportedly out for another six months, Neymar is undergoing rehabilitation in Riyadh.
Recently he was spotted trying out traditional Saudi attires for Saudi Arabia Founding Day. He was seen alongside his teammate during the event, enjoying time together. Still out due to injury, the winger couldn’t feature in Al-Hilal’s 3-1 win over Sepahan in the AFC Champions League Round of 16.
As he was unable to play, he ensured he attended the match to support his teammates in the important tie. He was seated in the executive boxes and watched on as goals by Salem Aldawsari, Ruben Neves and Aleksander Mitrovic scored in the 3-1 win.
The club’s social media uploaded a picture of him sitting in the box, watching on as Al Hilal moved on to the quarter-finals of the AFL Champions League, where they were drawn to Karim Benzema’s Al Ittihad.
Fans in splits after seeing a massive blunder by the Al Hilal admin
Seeing the tweet put up by the Al Hilal admin, many fans lost their heads. They couldn’t believe the blunder made by the Al Hilal admin, where he wrote ACL Nights.

The admin wanted to abbreviate the AFC Champions League, but the fans picked up another meaning. The ACL, or anterior cruciate ligament, was the same ligament that he tore, causing him to miss matches.
Many fans joked about how the Al Hilal admin messed up, especially as they hashtagged ACL nights. They claimed they did Neymar “dirty” with that hashtag, while many mocked Neymar for his injury history.
Check out their reactions:
Neymar tore his meniscus and Anterior Cruciate Ligament in October during a World Cup Qualifier with Uruguay. Since then, he has undergone surgery for both tears. He has been undergoing rehabilitation and physiotherapy to recover, but the forward won’t be returning to football till the start of the 2024/25 season.
Meanwhile, Al-Hilal have not missed the services of the Brazilian. They top the Saudi Pro League with 56 points out of 60 available. They have failed to lose a single match and have a 7-point lead over Al Nassr. Since the winter break, they have won every match possible. They now prepare for their trip to Dammam to play Al Ettifaq in the league on Monday night.
